Omer B Bends Time with Classic Rock, Funk, and a Genuine Love for the Vibe
“Bending Time” definitely lives up to its name. It’s one of those songs that can make you forget about the clock for a while. You can put it on while you’re working, eating lunch, relaxing at home, or just looking for some easy listening with a real groove behind it. The musicianship is strong, but the song never feels like it’s trying too hard to impress you. It settles into its groove and lets you enjoy the ride.

I recently got a chance to listen to “Bending Time” by Omer B featuring Oz Noy and Oded Kafri, and right away, I could hear the experience behind the music. It’s a groovy classic-rock track performed by musicians who genuinely love what they do.
Omer B is a great guitarist who enjoys inviting other talented musicians to come jam with him. When you watch the videos, it almost feels like you’re hanging out at the house with them while everybody plays music and has a good time. That natural energy is a big part of what makes the group so enjoyable. Nothing feels forced. It’s simply experienced musicians getting together, feeding off one another’s energy, and creating some great music.

After hearing “Bending Time,” I found myself going down a little whirlwind of Omer B’s music and videos on YouTube. The group has quite a few videos available, and it was enjoyable watching people play live music who clearly have a real passion for it.
You can tell that classic rock is a major influence, but that isn’t the only sound you’ll hear. Songs such as “VanderFunk” and “Funkri” bring more funk into the mix and show another side of the musicians. I especially enjoyed “Funkri” because I’m really into funk music and naturally gravitate toward groovy tunes like that. It has a good pocket, a fun energy, and the kind of rhythm that pulls you into the performance.
What stood out to me across all these songs was the chemistry. Omer B and the musicians he works with seem like fun people who simply enjoy coming together to play. That enjoyment comes through in the sound and makes the audience feel like part of the session. Sometimes, the best music comes from artists who aren’t afraid to loosen up, follow the groove, and allow the moment to lead them.
“Bending Time” is a great introduction to what Omer B has to offer. It combines classic-rock flavor, skilled guitar playing, and an easygoing groove that works in several different settings. If you enjoy live musicianship, classic rock, funk, or watching talented players jam together, Omer B is worth checking out.
Based on what I heard, I believe Omer B will continue finding success and pleasing audiences with an electric, sultry sound. This is music created by people who love to play—and when that love is genuine, you can always hear it.
